These jitneys are very informal \u2013 just show up ten minutes before the starting time, and someone will organize participants onto different rinks, depending on numbers. The social atmosphere on the lawn bowling green continues in the clubhouse afterwards, with tea, cookies and social chat for those who want to stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jitneys are currently scheduled three times per week \u2013 Tuesday and Friday mornings at 10 AM, and Sunday afternoons at 1:30 PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Social lawn bowling games (we call them jitneys) are the central activity of the club.
