DRLBC Mission

The Deep River Lawn Bowling Club (DRLBC) is a not-for-profit corporation run by its club members as volunteers.  DRLBC was incorporated in 1980 with a mandate “to carry on and conduct a lawn bowling, country, sporting and social club”.  DRLBC is a very active club with extensive lawn bowling and social activities:

• we encourage fitness and health among all our members by providing a sport where physical demands are light but the skill level is challenging;
• we provide a safe and welcoming environment for participants of all capabilities;
• we provide disability aids (bowl lifters and launchers) for those who need them, or prefer to use them;
• we encourage friendly, fun, accessible social interaction and community activity;
• we provide coaching to increase enjoyment of the game (which can also act as a gateway into more competitive play such as district tournaments and provincial competition).
