Fun Tournaments

Fun tournaments are our most popular organized events, often with an unusual format. Our most popular format uses two jacks (the small ball that you want to end up closest to), with one jack placed at the shortest possible distance, and the other at the longest, and you can bowl towards whichever jack you want. Scoring is 4-3-2-1 for the four closest bowls on each jack.

We introduced this format to give equal opportunity to bowlers of different strengths, with the possibility to deliver all of your bowls towards the shortest jack. Each player can join in as many (or as few) rounds as they like. There are two winners, one for the highest overall score, and the other winner closest to their predicted score. By tradition, each winner gets a round of applause and an extra cup of tea.
